This year we are introducing a new theme for Selby in Bloom – Nature Recovery

Whether you have a large garden or a small planter on your window sill you can take part.

We are inviting residents of Selby to show us how you are supporting nature recovery. We would like you to send in photographs of your gardens, planters, wildlife habitats……and any other ways that you are supporting the environment.

When you enter you will receive a Selby Town Council Nature Recovery Badge. This window sticker can be displayed to show that you are supporting Nature Recovery in the Town.

There is the painting competition sponsored by The Big Communitea, that the primary school have been invited to take part in.

And there is the competition for Residents, Businesses/Charities/Schools and Allotment Holders sponsored by the Selby Times and The Big Communi-tea.

The closing date for this Competition is Thursday 12th June 2025.

The Competition will be judged by the Mayor. And the winners will be invited to a presentation ceremony at the Town Hall in July.

You can enter by completing the entry form below and submitting it with your photographs to admin@selbytowncouncil.co.uk or you can collect one from the Town Hall Office.

This is a picture of the Bee Stickers that are awarded to residents who are making nature a priority in their gardens. The sticker is a globe with a bee flying to Selby, which is marked on the globe with a picture of Selby Abbey. The tag line written on the sticker says Make a Bee Line for Selby.
