Town Clerk
Gill Bell is responsible for the running of the Town Council and 11 staff.
Finance Manager (RFO)
Andy Firth is responsible for ensuring the proper control of all the Council’s financial dealings.
Resource Manager
Andrew Argyle, worked for Selby Town Council for over 30 years, responsible for the resource team including caretaking and grounds maintenance staff.
Market/Events Manager
Emma Rogers is responsible for the Monday Market, Bank Holiday Markets and monthly Saturday Farmers Market, along with the Food & Drink Festival and Christmas Market.
Arts Officer
Chris Jones, worked for Selby Town Council for over 15 years, responsible for the Town Hall events.
Administration Staff (full-time)
Julie McGrath (full time) has worked for the council for over 15 years
The Admin team support the Town Clerk with accounts, allotments, play areas, cemetery/burials, sale of tickets for events, annual fun day, bonfire and remembrance services as well as telephone and email enquiries.

Carolyn Richardson (part time) worked for the Town Council for over 38 years.

Assistant Resource Manager
Mark Foster has worked for the council for over 14 years
The resource team cut the grass at the play areas, community land, cemetery, maintain the grounds of the cemetery, allotments (3 in the town area) and all remedial works at the Town Hall. They assist on Market days, put up the hanging baskets in the town and water throughout the summer and erect the Christmas Trees in the Town.

Ian also assists the Market/Events Manager with the day to day running of the markets and events.

The caretaking staff are key-holders and cleaner/caretakers for the Town Hall and Community Centre on Scott Road.
