Selby Town Council has three allotment sites:
The Town Council has vacancies for allotments on all sites. If you are interested in having a plot please complete the allotment request form below and return to the Town Council or call in at the Town Hall to complete a form. Please note that allotments are only available to Selby Town residents and you will be asked to provide proof of address, ideally a council tax bill.
We also provide an allotment information sheet which we kindly suggest you read before applying for an allotment.
Existing tenants who keep poultry, or other captive birds, should be aware that they will need to ensure they register their flock with the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) from 1 October 2024. The National Allotment Society confirms that this applies to allotment tenants who keep poultry on their allotments. Currently, it is only compulsory to register flocks of 50 and over, this changes on the 1 October 2024 and regardless of the size of the flock you will be required to register. The link to register is Poultry and other captive birds: registration rules and forms – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
