Christmas Market and Lights Switch On - Saturday 2 December 2017

The Market will open at 9am on the Market Place, in front of Selby Abbey.  There are lots of stalls to choose from including crafts and gifts as well as refreshments.  On stage we have local school choirs, bands and lots more to entertain people. Campeys of Selby have provided a flat bed lorry to use as a stage and the town council thanks them for their support.

Thanks to Michael Stewart Menswear and Day Lewis Pharmacy for providing sponsorship funding towards the Christmas Lights this year.

The Mayor will switch on the lights at 4pm on the Market Place with the Garforth Brass Band playing carols. The Mayor will then walk to the Market Cross to switch on their Christmas Tree lights and then on to the Town Hall to the Tree of Lights.

Don't forget to watch out for the Dancing Turkeys once again!! Santa will also make an appearance at lunchtime.

Minster FM will be in attendance for the day to provide lots of entertainment, games and goody bags.  Ben Ofeudu of Phats and Small will also be making an appearance.

Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy this fabulous event.
