Nothing says summer like a good old food and drink festival, where we can happily fill our faces with chutneys and local artisan creations, guilt free and all washed down with a locally brewed cider or beer.  If this sounds like the perfect summer’s day out to you, then Selby is the place to be this July 31st.

Selby Town Council took over the Festival in 2016, the original idea to hold a Food and Drink Festival in Selby was from a local business owner. The festival has become more successful year on year.

Fantastic selection of Food and Drink to meet all tastes can be found between 10am and 5pm on the Market Place, Selby.

We have live music performers throughout the day to entertain you while you enjoy some of the street food on offer, including a Selby Food and Drink Festival favorite, local performer Miss Marina Mae.

Street food from around the world to “eat in” under one of the marquees provided, or to take away with you, is available all day including Caribbean, Polish, Latin Fusion and Turkish, as well as good old burgers, wraps and hog roast.

Selby Abbey hold their Summer Fair alongside the festival. Inside the Abbey are lots of local crafters and outside in the Abbey grounds are fun children friendly activities.

We also have on the Market Place, Sandy Kidz Creations, a family friendly Sand Art Workshop, always a popular activity every year.
