This year the Fun Day has been moved from June to Sunday 22 August 2021.
Although it is a scaled down event from our usual fabulous day we still have lots to entertain the whole family.
The fun starts before the actual event with a Fun Run organised by Selby Striders. The winners will be presented with their medals by the Mayor of Selby, Cllr Michael Dyson at the opening of Fun Day.
The Fun Day will be held on the Scott Road Community Field and in the Selby Community Centre.
Fun starts at 12 noon up to 4pm.
Lots of Free activities to do!
Prizes to be won on lots of fun games and tombola’s – all proceeds to charities!
Project Wild will be attending with “friendly” snakes and spiders – i will be checking my sleeves!!!
Selby & District Beekeepers Association will also be at the Fun Day with their observation hive and lots of information about the fascinating lives of bees.
Pop on your dancing shoes, grab a partner and join our popular Tea Dance with the Andersons. This year we have moved from the Town Hall to the Community Centre for one time only.
Teas served in the Community Centre courtesy of Big Local.
The ever popular Dog Show is back – organised by Holmefield Veterinary Group.
Great choice of hot and cold food and drinks. Spoil yourselves with ice cream, doughnuts and candy floss!!
We are very sad that this year’s Fun Day had to be scaled down. Unfortunately the uncertainty around the pandemic meant that the early planning that is needed to book the music performers for the pop concert and the band stand in Selby Park could not happen. We are hopeful that we can be back next year bigger and better on Fathers Day 2022!!!
