Remembrance Service - Selby Abbey 12 November 2017

The Remembrance Service at the Abbey with the Mayor and dignitaries in attendance took place on Sunday 12 November 2017 from 10am.  The procession left the Community Centre, Scott Road, at 9.30am with a piper leading the parade. The Abbey was full and there were lots of local residents and veterans in attendance.

The Deputy Lord Lieutenant, Rosalind Forbes Adams laid a wreath on behalf of the Queen as well as the Mayor and lots of local groups at Selby Park, opposite the Abbey. Wreaths were also laid within the Abbey Grounds at the RAF 51 Squadron memorial.
