Remembrance Service - Selby Abbey 12 November 2017

The Remembrance Service at the Abbey with the Mayor and dignitaries in attendance will take place on Sunday 12 November 2017 from 10am.  The procession leaves the Community Centre, Scott Road, at 9.30am with the Guides and Scout Band leading the procession. The Abbey is always full with local residents and veterans in attendance.

The Deputy Lord Lieutenant, Rosalind Forbes Adams will be laying a wreath on behalf of the Queen as well as the Mayor and lots of local groups at Selby Park, opposite the Abbey. Wreaths will then be laid within the Abbey Grounds at the RAF 51 Squadron memorial.

Everyone is invited to attend the service in the Abbey and watch the wreaths being laid in the park before the parade marches past the Mayor and Dignitaries on the Market Place.
