Selby Town Council's Family Fun Day 18 June 2017
Free Event for all the family at all venues
Selby Community Centre, Scott Road, Selby from 12 Noon - 4pm. Opened by the Mayor at Noon.
Land Train from 12.30pm - 4.30pm taking people around Selby (66 seats in a covered train) with stops at the Market Cross and Selby Park.
The Fun Day takes place on Sunday 18 June 2017 (Father's Day) There will be charity stalls on the main field and lots of rides and attractions for all the family. There will be a Dog Show on the bottom field which is being run by Holmefield Vets and you can register your dog by contacting them on 01757 705562. Proceeds from the Dog Show go to Guide Dogs. Dogs are allowed on the main field as long as they are on a lead at all times. Childrens rides including donkey rides are provided free of charge. Entertainment in the main hall from Abbey Belles and there will be a Gymnastic Display outside after the Fun Run presentation.
Selby Park, Park Street, Selby
Selby Music Centre, Hatfield Band and Humberside Police Band will be playing music from 12.30 - 4.30pm at the bandstand in Selby Park. There will be refreshments available at the Pavilion throughout the afternoon.
Recreation Field, Portholme Road, Selby.
We have seven live bands on the recreation field opposite Morrisons in Selby from 12.30pm and hopefully finishing around 8.30pm. The winners of the Battle of the Bands Competition 2017, will open the event on the field. There will be food and refreshments stalls on the field. NO DOGS, NO FRIZBEES, NO UNDERAGE DRINKING is allowed on the field and security will be on the field throughout the event. It is always a fabulous atmosphere and this free event is enjoyed annually by all.
The Vintage and Classic Car and Motorcycle Rally will be held at Portholme Drive car park area opposite Morrisons, from 10.00am - 2.00pm. To register for the rally contact Heather Kennedy at Selby Leisure Centre on 01757 213758.
Town Hall, York Street
This year there will be a tea dance from 1.30pm - 4.00pm in the Main Hall at the Town Hall. Entry is FREE. GI Jive are providing the music and entertainment. In the rear of the building refeshments will be available from Bridge View Tea Rooms staff and the proceeds will be given to Age UK Selby District.
