Queen Elizabeth's 90th Birthday Celebrations by Selby Town Council

On the 12 August the Town Council held a 90th birthday tea party for the Queen. Local residents aged 90 and over were invited to attend. Selby Globe Community Cinema put on a film showing of the Queen and Queen Mother's visit to Selby. It was a lovely afternoon with refeshments provided by Bridge View Tea Rooms and a local lady made the 90th Birthday Cake.

The Town Council are purchasing 90 Royal Oak Trees and are donating the trees to local groups and organisations to plant within the Town at the Cemetery, Bondgate Woodland, the Community Centre fields or within their organisations own grounds.
