Neighbourhood Plan

The Town Council are coming to the end of the first consultation phase of the Neighbourhood Planning Process prior to producing the first draft of the policies.  We would be grateful if you could take a look at the questionnaire on the attached link below and provide any information you have to support the Neighbourhood Plan.

Selby Town Council is the local authority for the town of Selby and is committed to working with partners and residents to make Selby a vibrant market town.

The Town Council have 12 staff including office, grounds maintenance and caretaking/cleaning staff.  The  Town Council office is based at the Town Hall on the junction of Gowthorpe, Brook Street and Leeds Road. Office opening hours are 10.00 am to 4.00 pm Monday to Friday.  There are parking spaces available at the Town Hall.

The Town Council are responsible for the Town Hall, Selby Cemetery, 3 allotments, 3 play areas, Longmann Hills Farmhouse and Selby Market.  The Town Council also manage the Community Centre on Scott Road and the Community Woodland on Bondgate on behalf of Selby Community Trust. Selby In Bloom Competition is held annually and entry forms are available from the Allotment Page on our website.

Selby Town Councillors are also members of the Central Community Engagement Forum (CEF).  Town Councillors are members of the CEF Partnership Board. Central CEF meet quarterly and engage with the community, other partner organisations and local businesses.
